“THE FORGOTTEN SPIRIT” (A CHRISTMAS TALE) THE HISTORIC FIRST AFRICAN-AMERICAN CHRISTMAS STORY IN THE COUNTRY BASED ON THE GOSPELS OF JESUS CHRIST BY NOVELIST EVIE RHODES IS MAKING ITS STAGE DEBUT FOR CHRISTMAS SEASON 2017/2018

New York, NY - THE FORGOTTEN SPIRIT (A CHRISTMAS TALE) by Novelist Evie Rhodes is historically considered to be the first African-American Christmas story in the Country based on the Gospels of Jesus Christ. Editor Marjorie J.Hurst of The Point Of View Newspaper reported, “In this well-written and timeless Christmas tale that is, in my opinion, destined to become as popular as Dickens’ A Christmas Carol…Evie Rhodes weaves a story of the true spirit of Christmas.”  It will be the first of its kind to grace the theater stage. It is a beloved story that can be continuously produced throughout upcoming holiday seasons.

At a time in history where the country is dealing with so much turmoil and dissension this inspirational and uplifting story is a remarkable feat of the power of love, new beginnings, and the amazing power of hope. The brilliance of it’s timing is sure to touch the hearts of many this upcoming Holiday Season!

Adapted and produced for stage by seasoned veteran Leslie “L’Kuicha” Parks of JELUPA Productions, Inc., it is scheduled to be first brought to stage in the Greater Springfield area of Massachusetts. The collaboration between James Rhodes, Rhodes Enterprises and Ms. Parks, JELUPA Productions, Inc., for the creation of Evie Rhodes’ THE FORGOTTEN SPIRIT (A CHRISTMAS TALE) is in addition to being a collaboration of historic proportions sure to warm and touch the hearts of all who see it this upcoming season.
